The workshop will draw on the expertise in academic publishing of the Editors of the Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS). It aims to build skills in scientific writing and provides practical information to support new- and early-career HIV researchers, as well as more experienced researchers, in successfully writing and submitting their abstracts to AIDS 2026 – and increasing their chances of acceptance. By the end of the presentation, participants will know the key components of a conference abstract, how to correctly write each abstract section, and how to avoid common pitfalls that result in the rejection of a conference abstract.
