There are certain things that, when you see them or come to understand them, mark a sharp delineation between who you've suddenly become and the happier and more ignorant version of you being left in the past. It's a hard time to be trading happiness for knowledge.

I was blinded by anger the day I found out that an official government department would be named after an internet meme. The anger never subsided. It remains with me even now that DOGE is closed, having served its purpose of giving our private info to horrible shitty people.

Not that it could ever matter, but the only things that would get me back into FFXIV would be for Astrologian to go back to the old and actually interest class it once was, and for healing to actually matter. I main a healer, I want to heal, not spam a 3 ability cycle.

Imagine taking all those resources spent on training "AI" and using them to feed, house, and teach humans. Imagine how much better a world that would be. But they'd rather have lying machines that don't talk back than people who tell the truth no matter who doesn't want to hear it.

So is trump's thing that he's just continually trying to amass enough power to outrun the consequences of his past island-based activities? I guess it would make a sort of sense then to essentially push to take over the.. western hemisphere, I guess? He has to know it won't work.
