For 4 years, Starbucks @sbworkersunited.org baristas have fought for a first contract, while their CEO makes 6,666x what they do. Enough is enough.

It’s time for Starbucks to stop playing games and give workers the fair contract they deserve.
Starbucks @sbworkersunited.org baristas at corporate stores have been on strike for over 3 weeks for a fair contract.

It was inspiring to join them on the picket line and bring the support of 15 million members of America’s unions! Their fight is ALL of our fight.

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Anti-union extremists would rather give billionaires like Elon Musk more tax breaks instead of funding public services.

Meanwhile, Musk is on track to make $83 *billion* more than every child care worker in America, combined.

Tesla’s profit fell 37% in the third quarter. It's been in the process of laying off 14,000 workers. It had more cars impacted by recalls than any other brand in 2024.

Yet Elon Musk just got a pay package worth $1 trillion.

American capitalism is off the rails.

Back out there on a beautiful Thursday. Lots of honks and waves. So much to stand up against, but so much to stand for. Keep finding the people who will be there with you to keep fighting for everyone else.

On Keepin’ It Real with Rev. Al Sharpton, President Saunders made it clear: AFSCME will keep fighting for affordable health care and fully funded public services.

With her temporary block expiring, Judge Karin Immergut said the Trump administration had failed to prove that protesters against the federal immigration crackdown were hampering President Trump’s policies.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

The shutdown has gone on so long, we've run out of clever ways to say it, so we'll just say it: Federal workers have been locked out or working with no pay for over a month. The Trump admin and their allies in Congress must fund the government and fix the health care crisis NOW.
