the last decade, for me at least, has reined concept of a superman/god/savior. i realize that my lifetime has not monopolized the 'unjust' or 'unfair' but i was promised that 'right was right'.

it hurts now to see what things really are and the lack humanity makes it tough to stay peaceful.

sunday night baseball is unequivocally the worst sports broadcast on tv and has been for the past four or five years...the manufactured "hot" takes and unnecessary over-produced graphics will not be missed. if it stopped there, you could get over it but ravich, cone, and perez are just a BORE.

bluesky is crazy because you could have five consecutive posts in a row about the existential threat that is the american political charade and then get…bodega cats, or a game review, or a post about how someone just celebrated 6 months sober…truly fascinating

sigh - it seems that bluesky is just like twitter except the pearl clutching contains 99.9% fewer ethnic slurs

I hope people realize that this isn't a 1933 replicant of procedural norms - this attack on both legal and political concepts, will be deliberate and with little response time. they will fill the zone with nonsense and nuance and bully the public until they capitulate from sheer exhaustion.

I think the reason I still get excited about Assassin's Creed or new Marvel movies/shows is not because of the jangling keys but because I know there's joy to be found in them and I get a great deal of personal satisfaction from trying to find it

it's a sad state of affairs where the only positive i can glean from carter's death is that it will be biden's admin that will handle the presidential death process and do it correctly. that that is my thought, vs reflecting on the man and his legacy
