'Entombment.' (1930) Claughton Pellew had a preference for the woodcut (as opposed to painting) because it enhanced the suggestive and symbolic qualities of an image and did not demand a complete narrative.

#TheVictorianBookoftheDead A funeral wreath preserved in a shadowbox frame. Beautifully detailed white wax and cloth flowers as well as hairwork flowers. It is inscribed "Christina" and "He doeth all things well."
