We had that happen recently in the Western world too. Covid. A lot of people shrugged off widespread death.

Plenty of data out there. Look it up.

Updates don't need safety testing. Just a waste of time.

I wondered the same thing. But with #ElonMusk one must always consider that the most nefarious ulterior motive is the correct one. Whatever that may be.
In 🇨🇦, there is an endless barrage of malign foreign influence ops. Sadly, 🇺🇸 is now on par with 🇷🇺 in that regard. #cdnpoli #ableg

If I were a mouth-breathing RFK Jr. fanboy, I'd be like "being bitten by zombies is a childhood rite of passage and protects against other zombies" and would be impervious to all logical arguments.

Once a safe and effective vaccine exists for a disease, it becomes unethical to give participants a placebo in a clinical trial because you will be denying the control group protection that we know already works.

I'm Canadian too. Maple MAGAs might not be the majority but they're a much larger minority than you'd think. They're not all bots. I've been attacked on social media over my ethnicity. By fellow Canadians. It's quite obvious when they're real people with real profiles, and these people exist.

No. Not all.
November 21, 2025 at 11:04 PM
Don't worry, I wasn't referring to you! I should have explained more clearly in my response. I know what you meant and it was well-intended. I'm referring to the rhetoric used by MAGAs.

If Americans and Canadians don't stop this runaway train of white nationalism, we could very well relive the horrors of 1940s Germany again, but in North America this time. Think I'm exaggerating? Nobody in 2015 would've predicted where we'd end up a decade later. Where will another decade take us?

"Brown" Canadian here. (I hate describing myself or others by skin colour but this is how OTHERS perceive me). I posted here as to why I chose to get EU citizenship as insurance. I see racist hate posted daily by some Canadians on social media & it's at a fever pitch now.

An action-packed day today.

1. I was officially granted French citizenship by marriage. I'm now a dual citizen (Canadian-French).

2. Got my flu shot. I strongly recommend that you get it too; this winter's flu wave looks like a whopper.

Americans aren't interested in Mexico's people, land, or resources.
They do have their lecherous eyes on ours. They want our water and real estate. They want to make the US white and they want to do the same with Canada. Just read the extremist and Hitlerian rhetoric spouted by MAGAs online.
November 21, 2025 at 9:22 PM
I wasn't born in Canada. I'm still Canadian, and not an iota less so than a Canadian born in Canada. Racist MAGAs on both sides of the border can't grasp this concept because their view of the world is rigid & blinkered. My place of birth and my ethnicity are irrelevant to my identity as a Canadian.
This guy can get fucked

My wife and I get the same amount of hostility, and it's from both men and women for both of us. I'm not white, though. 🤷
November 20, 2025 at 6:58 PM
Same here.

I occasionally run into people who are intensely hostile to me over it. Men & women, young, middle-aged & seniors; there's no specific pattern that I can see. 99.9% of the problem with masking is other people's deeply irrational reactions to what you choose to wear to protect yourself.
Masking indoors in public spaces boils down to this for me now:

I love never being sick from airborne infectious diseases.

The last cold I had was in early 2019, with not even a sniffle since. The only thing I don't do is dine indoors in public spaces; a good trade for health.

>50% of white American women voted for Trump. I'm guessing most of the 40% are WOC.
November 20, 2025 at 5:21 PM
Not me. Appearance is irrelevant to me. Ethnicity is irrelevant.

Racism is the reason. It explains a lot more than people think. Occam's razor.

I've always been given to understand that the FCS is one of the reasons SARS-CoV-2 is inherently more virulent than common cold coronaviruses. Could there be any impacts of this mutation on virulence?

50 microgram dose vs 30, respectively. The difference in mRNA dosage results in Pfizer's VE waning more rapidly.
