He is not afraid to go down a path of destruction of that means his lover is protected. It eventually leads him to a lot morally grey choices, but Kie will always be Cassius's #1 priority in life or death situations.

Cassius is definitely the "I'll sacrifice myself for you"/"burn down the world for you" out of my ship. If push comes to shove, he's also "I'll sacrifice myself for you and take the whole world down with me" type. He's devoted to Kie for life and will do anything it takes.

The light poisoning accelerated Cassius's aetherpool regeneration, causing massive bursts that felt like his body was imploding. His hair had turned a few shades lighter, his cheek bones sunken in, eyes glossed over from the poison. His canines permanently grew slightly larger, as well.
