yes I don't really see how you can go "oh yikes these people have changed their political views incredibly quickly, mostly because of what Very Online people talk about on social media" and also think that people who went from never talking about gender to calling trans women predators are....normal
I don’t like subtweeting people I consider online friends, but there is a subset of people who are very worried about the ongoing radicalisation of our political elite but won’t ever acknowledge the echoes with the radicalisation of their colleagues on trans rights
And few who are sympathetic to us, some who are friendly with me on here, will ever stick their head above the parapet

Am on this ep doing my favourite thing, trying to interpret the intricacies of EBU announcements and rule changes.
🚨 Bonus episode out now as we discuss the #Eurovision voting changes announced earlier today 👇

👥 Expanded jury vote
📲 Limited number of votes per payment method
❌ New systems to combat interference

But do they go far enough? 👀

my thoughts exactly - what will the penalties be for breaking the rules
November 21, 2025 at 8:31 AM
the big question for me is how will the rules be enforced and what will the penalty be if, for example, one broadcaster or government funds a big campaign trying to solicit bulk voting for their act?
November 21, 2025 at 8:29 AM
there will be questions over whether this will be enough to appease critics of how Eurovision has handled the contest over the past couple of years, and this will be discussed at the General Assembly at the beginning of December. It remains to be seen who takes part in Eurovision 2026.
November 21, 2025 at 8:24 AM
They've also announced new rules on the promotion of artists which they say “discourage disproportionate promotion campaigns…particularly when undertaken or supported by third parties, including governments or governmental agencies.”

The EBU has announced a number of changes to the voting procedure at Eurovision in response to criticism. The number of votes per payment method will be reduced to 10 (from 20). Juries will return to the semi finals, and juries will be increased from 5 -7. At least 2 jurors must be 18-25

November 18, 2025 at 9:41 AM
yeah, i was seeing stories about this. There's a big shortage and ram is shooting up in price
November 16, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Can you see sold prices on vinted?
November 15, 2025 at 5:21 PM
I go through this routine every few months, give up and just take it to the charity shop. I think ultimately unless i reckon i've got something super valuable/designer It's just not worth the effort of vinted vs taking it to a charity shop

they are definitely fun, but you need to be with a good group of people so you can find the odd solution and be happy whilst they get most of the hard stuff.

Now here’s Collaterlie Sisters with the financial news
If I had to describe the fairly modest moves in the gilt market today, I would say it is a bit like the feeling of slightly needing the toilet after half an hour in the swimming pool.

also - it will be a different actor. Noone will be expecting continuity from the last film. Re cast all the main characters and do whatever story you want.
November 11, 2025 at 1:42 PM
yeah, i'm with you on that. Like i'm really happy with how my body has changed since i've got more serious about gym but i'm not hench and there's no way i could ever be.
