Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month.

Do you need a contractor? I've got a track record of leading scope-friendly script revisions late in dev. I have also done a lot of consulting on new IPs and pitches/demos. Feel free to DM me!

Haven't read this yet but syslbnth's Yu-No essay is one of my all-timer pieces of games writing so I'm sure this is also good: syslbnth.neocities.org/htxt/cave-st...

hey y'all, I'm collecting feedback about bitsy's exits and endings features (I'm looking into updating them in the next bitsy version)

if you have a few minutes to fill out a short survey, I'd really appreciate it!

I took a Bitsy game I never finished, about a maple syrup heist, and turned it into a poetic memoir about finishing things, for a @gamepoems.bsky.social submission. I'm told it will be shared this weekend at the Winchester Poetry Festival in the UK, which I'm excited about. Takes ~5 mins to play.

I'm excited to announce I'm going to be running a four-week remote workshop on creating interactive fiction with #bitsy starting at the end of September! Games created in the workshop will be featured in an exhibition at Accent Sisters in New York, with whom I'm partnering on this project!
these look great! thanks for taking the time to share them :D

for the next couple weeks i'll be posting exercises from my old narrative design class every day. i used #bitsy by @adamledoux.net, so these are all bitsy files that can be imported into the bitsy editor, along with posts describing guidelines and objectives.

Before The Office actors rarely looked into the camera. This is because they were afraid of them. Yet by the time The Office began, most Americans had enough exposure to cameras throughout their lives to recognize them as useful domestically for their tendency to hunt mice near grain stores
these are the kinds of innovations the publishing industry needs to lean into if it’s going to survive in the 21st century
I had to give up after my postman complained about the ‘weird noises’ coming from my returned mail. that’s when I realized I could put the books under my pillow at night & wake up with complete knowledge of their contents. all my dreams are of flying under moonlit skies & eating cotton dress shirts
earlier this year I signed up for a book of the moth club: now each new moon a moth the size of a pony delivers a book to my front step. at first I tried to unsubscribe since I couldn’t read the strange symbols on the pages, but the publisher has no email & my letters were marked returned to sender

the whole toolkit is packaged as a Netscape-format bookmarks file, which means you can just import it into your web browser to get started!
