Finally had a birthday with weather compatible with flying. December in the PNW makes that difficult, and the instrument rating was absolutely required. Clouds are cool.

Had the fun type of bad flight today. Big wave day at 4S2, but cloudy; didn't want to try for a sucker hole, so committed to whatever I could get below cloud bases: lots of of sink and turbulence, turns out. Had to release early after huge bumps left us with the slackest tow rope I'd ever seen.
