Geeky about books, film, & musicals. There’s always a song in my head. Delighted by: Judy Garland, Emma Thompson, Stephen Sondheim, David Tennant, Terry Pratchett. BE KIND, or at least don't be a dick. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️-adjacent, she/her

Exactly, I used to do FOH at Matilda and the very little kids really couldn’t cope with it, for the most part. And when they were disruptive their parents didn’t do anything to stop them, either. Just a bad choice on their parts to take such little ones to such a long slow that isn’t aimed at them.
Thanks, I HATE IT.
I would laugh if this wasn't so true 😭
That's hilarious and also infuriating! 😂
Oh it was glorious! ❤️
We had quite a lot of kids, but it was a Sunday matinee. Personally I think many of them were far too young, and were talking a lot, or getting restless. As with Matilda, the lower age limit is 4, but I think it should be at least 6 or 7.
Oh yes! I think because you also say "theatre" for "movie theatre" over there, that's why you got confused. Here we would only say "cinema" for a movie, so "theatre can only mean live theatre.
LOOK AT THIS:
I hadn't managed before either, so I'm so pleased they brought it back!
I'm just listening now - Johnny can't Decide isn't grabbing me remotely like the three I mentioned! I like it well enough, but I understand why I forgot it.
Hectic weekend, so today I’ve slept very late, and am now snuggled in bed with my cat pressed against me in the cave under my legs (her favourite). Just playing my word games and checking social media while it rains outside… Bliss.
But 10 should be a good age to appreciate the magic and wonder without getting restless during the slower scenes. So I’d say yes!
I would say so, though of course I don’t know her. I think the very young kids near me (4/5) struggled a bit because the magical creatures don’t appear as much as they would want - as you know from the film it’s a lot more about the family and the mother, really. And it’s 2.5 hours!
Icons week is the worst of all the themed weeks! I actually love all the others, but we don't need MORE of them. If someone has an icon they really love, they can just do a dance to a song by them one week, and even dress up like them if they want to!
how they adapted it for stage.
Ooh, interesting question! I've only seen the film once, but I did love it. But it did help me know what to expect. Because there's technically very little plot, and it's all very much about the charm, sweetness, magic, and whimsy. I'd suggest watching the film first, I think, so you can marvel at
Ok so we both need to go and listen to the other songs! 😄
The British Public (or at least the #Strictly fans) proving that we love and support drag queens, and hate fascists, is my biggest takeaway from the series so far. 😀 It's lovely to know that most people are decent, no matter what the media tries to tell us.
I can't even remember how that goes! Must go have another listen.

Andrew Garfield is very much desirable so I don't blame you for that! 😜
Spirited Away is my favourite too!
I’ve seen the movie, and I just love him sooo much, hence the merch. But on stage it’s just incredible and so clever! Huge Totoro on stage roaring and smiling, and the cat bus running around with brilliant puppeteers under it… amazing! Magic made real. 😍😍
No one will ever be over this!
Which song was it? I’m constantly getting three stuck in my head: 30/90, Therapy, and Louder than Words. I love them all! I should watch that movie again; Andrew Garfield should have got the Oscar and I’m standing by that!
You were 1000% correct. 😍😍😍🥹🥹🥹
Ok that was fucking MAGICAL! The magic and whimsy were off the charts. 😍😍😍 My face had the biggest delighted grin the entire time, and I teared up in so many places, just because it was so beautiful. 🥹🥹🥰🥰🥰
Off to see My Neighbour Totoro at the theatre. So excited! I'm like a little child wearing my Totoro hoodie and my Totoro earrings 😂
