I never considered myself Irish until I lived in England. Now I hold dual citizenship and I'm getting to the stage of "fuck it, do I really want to be British any more?".
Genuinely thought @bencollins.bsky.social was joking.

Trump now thinks he can say and post anything because, well so far, he has without consequences. I knew his second term would be bad. I didn't think it would be so fucked up.
"Mr. President sir the idea is you're constantly flying around in a big jet filled with your own shit in it. Like human shit. Anyways you're wearing a little crown in your little shitmobile and you're dumping the shit out. I think people will like it."
and another thing: he’s not mad. please don’t put it in the newspaper that he got mad.
I missed this all from down the other end of the table - I did think you left looking concerned but reckoned that was just from having to talk to us!

I really hope it's not broken and it heals super quickly. 😊
It turns out two large glasses of wine are just at good at masking hip pain as painkillers are.

Now if only I could stay permanently tipsy without ruining my life I'd be sorted.
Of yeah - hyper 3 year olds aren't the best for sewing. Give him a few years though and you might be surprised. I have some very easily distractible kids who are really good at sewing.
Saying nothing. 😆
Do you have a computerised machine? They can sew slowly more easily on one. Or you control the speed and they guide. I've had 4 year olds sew, it's not 100% risk free but safer than you think. 😊
The Boy is using the sewing machine for the first time in absolutely ages.

Fully expected his stitching to be all over the place but I'm really pleasantly surprised!
I ran for president of the Guild of Students at Liverpool uni. Everyone else said they'd get more vodka for the club night that always sold out by 11. I knew the reasons they didn't have more and said I wouldn't. I lost hard on the first preference vote. Politics in a democracy summed up. 😆

Sometimes it helps to remember the good things. Like we haven’t lost Gary Larson yet. 😁
BRAND NEW Far Side from Gary Larson just dropped
Same here! I was so sure he passed away young. I'm beyond delighted he's still about.

Gary Larson (creator of “The Far Side”) occasionally draws new comics and uploads them to his website. Here’s his latest one. An amusing tribute.
I used to work for @ptes-org.bsky.social and dormice are one of their key species. I know you're not meant to have favourites but who am I kidding?! 😁

Delighted that the season has been so good for them! 😍
The bullshit that boys are subjected to day after day is infuriating. No wonder there is a problem with toxic masculinity.

Barely any man looks like this. It's just such unrealistic expectations of masculinity.
It turns out singing Intergalactic Monkey Business a la Beastie Boys in Sainsbury's gets you funny looks.

Happy boy has the new Bunny Vs Monkey. Delighted that at 13 he still loves them. 😁

Cc. @jamiesmart.bsky.social.
Look at the floof!

They were outside a very Halloweeny house appropriately and were very keen for fusses.

10/10 for being cat. +5 for seasonal style, +10 for fusses, +5 for bobtail confidence, who needs a full tail?

Excellent cat, will hopefully fuss again. @thecatreviewer.bsky.social

Sabine and Meg are finally symptom free and allowed out of their crate! Sabine has celebrated by running around smacking everyone.

I’ve never felt so old in my entire life.
That's how much I know! I saw him in this clip show and thought times must have been really bad! In that he's no excuse.
I spent the day yesterday at a conference in a room full of people who genuinely care about others. Not just the environment, but community, vulnerable people, people from other countries, people going through awful things.

I wish those voices were louder than the politics of division.
At least you were going to the Sperrins! I ended up going through them on my way to Gortin when I really didn't need to. 😆
You just made the cut! But seriously - is the driving in Cookstown always so chaotic or was I just unlucky? One nearly very serious mini roundabout incident, one old dear driving 15 miles an hour and one person trying to park from the outside lane on Church Street. 😱
My sat nav did that to me! I looked at the map when I arrived and was astounded at how far out of my way it took me on the most stressful roads. Thankfully the one combine harvester I came across was just near a field entrance so it could actually get past me.
