Screaming crying and throwing up. I feel like I can finally make this public. My dream of writing a book about #GravityFalls is coming true! I’m excited and scared and overall eager for this big step.
I need them to announce the next Psych Con because I’ve been making bracelets every time I’m feeling anxious. Considering I have over 200… I’ve been very anxious.

For the first time ever, I'm debating if I still want to be a teacher. I was feeling a lot of guilt around applying for a PhD and leaving the field for a time. But now I don't know if I'll come back.

Whenever I realize a lesson I planned isn‘t long enough I start explaining Twilight to 11 year olds. There’s at least 15 minutes of cushion in there.

I’ll be the first to admit that 6th graders are very annoying but sometimes they’re cute. My kids starting playing ‘job applications’ where they make little applications to work for 1 bitcoin a day and leave them in my room. I hope they play pretend for a little longer.

Discovering computer as an adult makes you go crazy. Discovering computer as a baby makes you go crazy. In all of human history, there will only ever be one generation to discover computer at the correct age: 13
The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

My classroom for the summer program is by the communications section of Northwestern library. Not only has this been super helpful for my book, it’s solidified my decision to apply for my PhD this cycle.

My supervisor came in for an observation while I was screaming about Shrek to my kids. Thankfully she thought I was funny and engaging and not someone who was using class time to explain Shrek lore.

Big shout out to past Abby who decided to write but never finish a bunch of Gravity Falls essays that could easily copied and pasted. Current Abby is now roughly 35% done with her book.

I’ve been doing interviews for my book, people say they have nothing important to add. But then they share one small thing and it opens up perspectives I hadn’t considered. A big theme coming out of this is how we enrich the lives of others.
I’m feeling very blessed to have this opportunity.

Planning on going to #SCMS26 for the first time-- but my brain is so fried I can't think of anything I'd like to present. Does anyone have ideas for panels or round tables? My primary areas are education and fan fiction, but I like opportunities to learn new things.
