Just attended an online chat about the National Year of Reading and I am Full Of Ideas (but sadly Empty Of Library Staff).

Just met a lady taking her elderly ill dog out for it's final walk. We stopped to say hello, we rarely do that as Alex isn't keen on dogs. She mentioned it was her last walk so we talked about losing Antony Cat recently and the relief that she had someone to talk it over with was evident.

Social media can be a cesspool, but it can also bring the most wonderful people in to your life. Katy was just lovely, so kind when I had my babies, so supportive of my campaigning, always ready to lift others no matter how down she was.
It is with a broken heart that I have to share the devastating news that my amazing wife Katy has lost her battle with cancer and passed away.

If she touched your life in some small way, please consider donating to Dog’s Trust, using the link below.

I know she means well but MIL trying to hug me to tell me how sorry she is about the cat before I've even got my coat and shoes off on return from work is not the one. She asked for one of his toys. That's weird, right?
