There was a time (not too long ago) when films/TV shows like Punishment Park, The Long Walk, Civil War, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, The Handmaids Tale, The Shield, Come and See, Andor… etc, were cautionary tales, NOT instructional documentaries mandating viewers to replicate the motives of the antagonist.
