The creepy students that kept walking into classes and saying typical spooky lines like "...there's light at the end of the hall..." unironically inspired a concept that fixes/justifies a worldbuilding element I was struggling with for a while.

Funny how that works.

When you misinterpret how heights work.
(Making a character shorter than they were supposed to be.)

I actually ended up keeping this (even made her just a bit smaller) as it does already make sense, since Dess is a gnome and it would add more visual interest to the main crew.
