Per multiple sources, apparently the deputy CIO Douglas Perry was also placed on administrative leave yesterday. I believe this has to do with DOGE or other gremlins demanding access to stuff at NOAA that leadership refused to give.

At what point will people stop expecting the Democratic Party to be different from what it has always been? There is the Green Party and AOC and Bernie could EASILY move to it and successfully take the Liberals with them to that platform.

I've given the Green Party more thought and I seriously do not see why more Liberals aren't getting involved in it. I am NOT a fan of Jill Stein, but she isn't the only person, she just happens to be the most popular because their ranks are thin. If Liberal Dems moved to Green the face would change

Please people - VOTE EVERY TIME YOU CAN! We have to vote in progressives regardless of party affiliations - Democrat, Green, Independent, etc. Bring in new people and ideas

NOAA manages large ocean fisheries in US waters. Scientists there conduct surveys, sample fish, and run complex models to estimate the levels of sustainable catches. NOAA is recognized as a world leader in creating jobs, producing food, and avoiding overfishing. Kudos to NOAA fisheries!!!!

Chief Information Officers (CIO) are the top IT executives in charge of IT at federal agencies, including (in many/most cases) cybersecurity. They have always been classified as career-only roles because of the need for them to be impartial and apolitical. Trump’s OMB is now taking control of them
