“No Kings — Ever”: Local Groups Rally Against Government Corruption, Overreach, & Attacks on Constitutional Rights
BIRMINGHAM, AL — As the Trump administration doubles down on government overreach, political excess, and corruption, people across Alabama & the nation will take part in a peaceful day of action & mass mobilization.
On Saturday, October 18, Alabama 50501 & Birmingham Indivisible will host “No Kings II”, a rally & march at Railroad Park in Birmingham from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Organizers say the event is a unified call to action against flagrant abuses of power & attacks on democracy, including the targeting & racial profiling of families, arrests & detentions without warrants or due process, suppression of elections, dismantling of environmental & worker protections, censorship, & the growing use of militarized force against U.S. citizens.
“The No Kings event is a nationwide call to action,” said Angelica McCain of Alabama 50501. “We will not stay silent as our government abuses its power, profits off policy decisions, and ignores constitutional rights & laws.”
The Birmingham event will feature guest speakers from the Unitarian Universalist Church of Birmingham, ACLU of Alabama, Alabama Coalition for Immigrant Justice, Alabama Arise, & others. Comedians Rebecca Rothman & Matt Davis will appear, with Davis serving as MC.
The event is peaceful, nonviolent, & open to all ages & communities. It is part of a statewide and nationwide day of action, the largest coordinated protest since the Trump administration took office. Participants will stand together to declare that America has, & always will have, No Kings.
