Ironically I'd probably work more. Right now I work as much as my job requires of me, but the world UBI would afford would also make it reasonable for me to spend my energy doing the part of the job I actually like (solving efficiency problems) for as many people as need it. Also more art.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

I can't help but notice that the problems with culture on the whole are directly caused by centralisation. 20 years ago you had limited choices of what to watch on TV, and you had to go to a place to choose a book.

TIL that people can typically picture things fully in their imagination.
I could not conjure a clear image of the people and things I see every day, just kind of the general gist of them.
I definitely don't have aphantasia but apparently hypophantasia is a thing also.

I think it's possible to give 100% at any time...but sometimes there are days when 70% is 100% of the day, and that's perfectly fine.

WIP dump: haven't had much motivation lately, but I've been tinkering with these. The trash guys are going to be labels for our bins, and the Tree rex will hopefully turn into a big standee on the front yard if I actually do it.

PSA: don't just ask "Are you okay?" If you can't also follow up.
Some ways to follow up include:
- listen to them vent/cry
- offer to relieve them of a stress factor
- help them access support
It's not your job to fix people if you haven't got the time or energy to do the work with them.

This was so hard for me, and I don't feel like I did a very good job either.
I think if I did this again I'd make it a wheel rather than a chart, it might feel more natural to combine specific emotions, rather than trying to 'find' a feeling to fit a gap...

Ugh, why won't BSKY let me post art at the time that I want to post it? 🤬
I tend to finish my drawings at night (Aus time) and for some reason BSKY mobile just won't let me upload them until like midday the next day. When I'm busy at work.

Just had a scroll through my following feed and ope, there's the bile and hate and bad news again. Even if I agree with the opinions, it's just too much anger to absorb sometimes...

Sully's sunburn is getting worse and still no visitors, but that's how it is being Santa on the beach in November... He's still waiting though, full of the holiday season spirit.
