Seeing footage of ICE and Israel, then seeing people like @schumer.senate.gov and @aoc.bsky.social almost exclusively talk about the govt shutdown and party politics, as if nothing else was happening, certainly is an interesting contrast in the reality they live in vs. the reality we live in.

Welfare capitalism is not the same as actual socialization of wealth !! Socialization is only possible truly when currency and property are abolished and not even Lenin, Mao or Castro have actually truly defeated property and currency globally!! They have only made states the sole property owner!!

The liberal objections to Trump have mainly been aesthetic! Democrats were ok with Biden increasing funding to ICE, as long as it wasn’t discussed too much and deportations happened quietly. Democrats liked aid to Israel when it was under the guise of prudent global imperialism.
