The newsroom has since filed suit and won a temporary restraining order.

Jeff Freeman, a photojournalist for WLS-TV, was shot with multiple pepper balls by federal officers while covering protests at an ICE facility in Broadview, IL, on Sept. 27.

ICE officers had warned local police that there would be a “sh*t show” that day.

Madhouse?

Danny Ingram was working at Penguin Feather in Georgetown one day in 1986 when I was buying whatever the latest Killing Joke album was ("Night Time", I suppose), and he strongly suggested I buy a Madhouse "Mecca" single from the stack on the counter. I did. Recently gave it to a goth DJ.

They also knocked down a nice old brick fuel-depot building next to the grain elevators. I might have a nice photo here somewhere.

I hadn't realized that H. Earl Clack built all those grain elevators. There's a little museum named after him.

My flesh vessel is now integrated with the Microsoft Power Platform, now I am the future of business.

I feel like a broken record, but I have to keep saying it over and over again: a farmer bailout won’t do much of anything because the market is gone. There will be no incentive to plant next year.

The bailout will help payoff farmer debt to the banks. That’s all.

It was a fun place when I lived there, in spite of Reagan, Bush, and August.
