omg thanks! rode through this last night and was worried since it's a pretty heavily used corridor
during my city adventure I spontaneously ran into: two people that I know, the stickers of someone that I know, and the art for sale of someone that I know.

city is community! if you realize that! 💗💓
it got cold and I was worried about the journey back home but we warmed up with dinner in Ballard and a stop at Push/Pull and the bike back was soooo pleasant. I love pier 58 at night! saw a lot of new bike infrastructure today! 🥰

I fucking love living here !
biked to the Ballard locks yesterday for the first time!
what a lovely day for a city bike frolic 🥰

@publicola.bsky.social and @theurbanist.org.web.brid.gy are straight up more informative for Seattle politics and I'm happy to be a monthly supporter of both! If you only read @seattletimes.com you'd likely be confused about what is at stake in this election
Of COURSE the Seattle Times guy who thinks online news isn't real news is railing against news vouchers, which he says consist of Katie Wilson "taking $10 million from taxpayers" to fund people he looks down on—independent news producers who now all have to compete with each other for supporters.
News vouchers resurface in Seattle mayoral race
News vouchers may sounds promising, especially in the words of Seattle mayoral candidate Katie Wilson, but they are deeply problematic.

I fucking love Claudia 💪✨
the links to pdfs on that page don't work for me! thought you might wanna know!
I'm still pretty new to the area, and clueless about basically all things school-related, but curious why Lafayette seems so much worse than Genessee and even Alki 🤔
whoa this is cool to see! thanks for putting together this visual!

And not only should you vote yourself, you should tell all of your friends to vote too!
This isn't a federal election where our votes hardly matter.

This is a LOCAL election. These are decided by just hundreds of votes! You individually make a huge difference. Vote by the end of this week!
how many did you order in this batch??

200+ bike and scooter corrals will be installed across Seattle to make it clearer and easier to find a place to park shared bikes and scooters.

These, created by local artist Roy (Eroyn) Franklin, were installed in partnership with Seattle Symphony, Benaroya Hall, and the Office of Arts & Culture.
I was thinking the same!!! 💞
the comments on that thread upset me

the initial message is a little upsetting too but I really appreciated hearing the perspective I'd never heard before
I WANNA LEARN BOTH OF THESE
my dad has a ham radio that I plan to bring out here if the city ever lets us build his fuckin house in our yard
if you have extras you're looking to distribute, I'd love to add some to my sticker distribution box I bring to meetups 🥰
thanks for sharing this perspective I've never heard or thought of. I had been wondering if there were any bike buses in my new neighborhood, and if one should start up. Perhaps a walking school bus instead?

Just got out of a community council meeting in Georgetown where I was expecting the issue of a potential lane reduction on E Marginal Way to dominate.

Instead, there were more questions about getting MORE bike infrastructure, pedestrian crossings, and sidewalk upgrades.
I love that you did this! it looks great! I'll be sharing it with friends
I have never felt more strongly about someone being the right person for the job, for me it's Claudia 💪🥰 especially if you are a transit voter. Transit Riders Union, The Urbanist, Seattle Subway, Move Redmond, Eastside Urbanism have all endorsed her too.
I'm honestly so surprised that catastrophic shit like this doesn't happen more often on/around the bridge. it is designed like a highway but signed 40 mph at this end with lots of conflict points, short merges, blind curves, often poor visibility. people drive crazy here. this is devastating.
