I spent several days around Christchurch NZ a few years ago, the vistas were grand but I never saw red sprites! They are among a group of weather phenomena known as transient luminous events. I have seen captures from space, never from the ground!!😲

Saw the Bruce Springsteen biopic yesterday, enjoyed it, good movie. My main takeaway though was, damn I wish I was a friend to people around me like Jon Landau is to Bruce in that movie!
