My new comic series just launched!

I’m really proud of the story we told and it would mean the world if you chose to support it.

An attorney with a gift for making unbreakable contracts is hired by Norse gods to prevent (another) Ragnarok. It’s funny! Epic! Gay!

ValhalLaw-A 5-issue color comic epic, ready to print!
ValhalLaw is a 5 issue color queer, fantasy-fueled dark comedy of epic proportions, brimming with action, romance, naughty bits NSFW and the occasional legalese.

Good luck to everyone trying to pick out their favorite Drew Struzan poster today.

RIP to the best there ever was.

The dumbest thing about the ChatGPT commercial that played before the Mariners game is the whole pitch was “we’ve created an ultra robust AI that can improve your life like never before!”

And the whole thing was about a guy asking it how to do a pull-up. Something he could have just fucking googled

If you still (somehow) need even more reasons to cancel your Spotify sub;

Spotify is now running recruitment ads for ICE.

It’s time to cancel your account.

When I was arrested (DETAILS IRRELEVANT I WAS TOTALLY EXONERATED!) they confiscated my cell so when it was time to make my call, I had 0 numbers

Well I knew my parents’ home #, but I wasn’t gonna call that

Eventually I just dialed one of the bail bond ads that were taped to the wall by the phone

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

What The Hell Is Going On, a thread:

I’ve seen some thinkpieces and posts about Portland protests that fail to understand the long-term hyperspecificity of Portland culture/humor, and frame it as a sort of shitposting meme-pilled ironic thing. Which is wrong.

So I’m gonna give you my breakdown.

This is the good stuff. Thanks!

Exactly the content I’m looking for.

This isn’t engagement farming (pinky swear!)

I’m beefing up my spooky-themed music playlist and would love deep cut suggestions. Any genre.

So if you’ve got a favorite Halloween party track that doesn’t normally find its way into a rotation — let me know!

I worked in a building on an adjacent block the entire time those protests were happening.

I got off the bus and walked through it every morning. I walked back and forth through it every afternoon for lunch and sometimes again a bit later for boba tea.

Never felt an ounce of anxiety.

i lived ~12 blocks from the protests downtown and i had no idea they were even happening initially. i had to be told by a neighbor.
miniver.bsky.social
There was non-trivial vandalism in that area — smashed shop windows et cetera — but most of Portland, even most of downtown, was untouched. I knew Portlanders who had no idea any of this was happening!

The Trump administration sent Feds, escalating everything further.

Mine were former hippies and told me early they wouldn’t be hypocritical enough to tell me drugs were bad — but asked that I tried any particular drugs (including weed) with them first.

We still share edible preference tips.

#Comics folks, I need you to pull up to this one.

The world sucks right now, and we have the opportunity to do a little bit of good for a displaced and marginalized member of our community. Please join me in supporting this KS campaign!

www.kickstarter.com/projects/den...
If you're somebody who values supporting marginalized voices in comics, here's your chance to put your money where your values are!

The writer of this RINGO NOM’D INDIE COMIC (and a very dear friend of mine) is a Syrian Refugee who has been through more continuous hardships than I have space to list here; constantly navigating visa applications, unstable living conditions, predatory landlords (limited options as a refugee).

Anas just wants to make comics and live a normal life like what so many of us take for granted. Backing this campaign will help Anas to take the next step toward freedom and autonomy, helping to fund a move to another country with more stable employment options. This is truly one of the most important comics purchases you will ever make.

Middle Eastern and North African comics creators are some of the most underrepresented in the comics industry of the western world. Anas isn’t running a GoFundMe to support this move, and is not asking for charity. Simply, Anas is using their talent for storytelling, along with Dennis’ gorgeous art, to offer you a beautiful experience in the comics medium, that also goes toward funding a better life for Anas.

I’m so proud of Anas, and humbled by their experiences and perseverance. I would like to see Anas’ Dream realized, and I’d love to see this community help to make that happen. Please join me in pledging to the Etheres Kickstarter campaign! (link below). Etheres cover B

Another year of horror movies, and yet again no one bothered to make a film that provides a spooky pun for my name on social media.

I’ll say this, the Portland Frog had best never have to pay for his own drinks again in the Portland city limits.

Keith is a great guy who has made some of my favorite games. (Illimat + absinthe fountain is arguably a Top 5 Gaming Experience).

If you like enjoying things, I recommend giving his stuff (including his new one) a try.
