Hephaestus blasts don't gain dmg, they scale down in CD with rarity and lvl, so I abused some keepsakes to get both to Heroic and then pommed them a bunch of times

and then wands are great for just creating so many projectiles that you constantly proc if there's an enemy anywhere on the screen

i'm actually kinder to the writing of Hades 2 than some of the harsh takes I've seen, but if I do have one criticism I'm dying to get off my chest it's that Moros is THE MOST BORING FUCKING CHARACTER TO HAVE EVER EXISTED in a video game

sometimes I do start to get a bit annoyed about living in a big city, but admittedly a few huge upsides are (1) decent public transit and (2) it's global enough that international events and performers actually come here

while i totally believe that nonstick pans are maybe a bit bad and will one day be replaced with a better, safer product, i would also bet my ass that probably like 90% of the problem can be avoided if people aren't (1) burning the shit out of, and then (2) scraping the shit out of their pan

Even if I think some parts of the story can land a bit weird in this one, the combat in this game is soooooo much better than the first one that ultimately I don't think I could ever go back and play it

(anyway, yes I fixed it, in large part because i realized that bringing an NPC with Signature Heal and 23 (!) spell slots along to a dungeon crawl was gonna make it feel really weird and inconsequential. But it's just funny to me how much APs are improved with just a *little* bit of playtesting)

yeah, there's probably no Law of the Universe saying that a Primal Sorc *can't* be a worshipper of Razmir. Maybe he's very unique like that

But if you're writing a story, you want elements like that to... be consistent? to represent the lore of the setting and not be complete flavour bends? idk lol

i didn't really hit me until after I ran 1 session with this guy how weird that is! he has sorcerer casting, INCLUDING Signature Heal (!!)

which not only (a) *massively* shifts the power of him as a GMPC, as the party now has access to a pocket healer and (b) completely fails Razmiran lore I think?

Razmiri lore: none of these people are really clerics, it's a fake religion and they're all basically wizards siphoning power from some guy

Spore War: introduces a Razmiran priest NPC, gives him 0 of those mechanics, and he's just a full caster Primal Sorcerer

well there is good news, Hades 2 has way more ranged and caster builds and is probably overall a bit less about twitch-reflexes and button spam
