What if #ULTRAKILL was on the Mega Drive? Chapter 6-2: Aesthetics of Hate.

A follow up to my previous demake of ULTRAKILL in the style of Gunstar Heroes, from 2022.

A snippet of a discord conversation. Me (Cian) says: Ooh! Ooh! What should WitchCian dress up for Halloween? Ember responds: Yumetaro from Gimmick! Cian responds in turn: My favourite! And then deploys the following drawing. Cian the Witch in a plush costume of Yumetaro, the protagonist of the NES game Gimmick! It's a green little blob of a guy with big eyes, stubby limbs and a yellow horn on the head. Cian's face is protruding from the hole where Yumetaro's mouth would be, implying she is in the costume, even though it doesn't make much sense where the rest of her body would be, but that's ok because it's cartoons

The opening spread from chapter 76 of Hope You're Happy, Lemon. Offscreen, Sunao says to Kogahara "When we went to the movies, the person inside of me... was Lemon." The chapter subtitle reads "That was the day he caught my eye..." as Kogahara looks with an empty expression, processing the revelation. a couple of panels from the manga "Hope You're Happy, Lemon!" Kogahara looks at her feet and thinks "If that's true then... the one that actually caught my eye was...". She imagines Sunao's gentle smile that he gave her on their cinema date, and then imagines Lemon giving the same smile, symbolising that Lemon was the one inhabiting Sunao's body on that day.
