Looked in on “Down Cemetery Road” because Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson; staying with it pretty much only because of them as the storyline starts veerrryy slowly, and pretty much every other character in the show makes me wish I could push them in front of a bus.

Not every culture sticks to strict definitions of “aunt“/“uncle”. When I first met my wife’s large extended Hispanic family, at an anniversary party, she told me that everyone there was either an aunt, uncle, or cousin, and it was dependent upon generation. I have just finished my sojourn through @theauthorguy.bsky.social’s San Francisco books, and strangely, I realized somewhere around Chapter 13 of “Secondhand Souls” that I was in uncharted waters; that is, I had definitely started the book (judging by the sticky-note tabs in my copy marking… 🧵

Tried to watch “Star Wars, Episode IV” this evening, but I can't get past the continuity disconnects with the prequels/sequels. For instance, if a young Anakin Skywalker built C-3PO, why did an enslaved aspiring pod-racer living in a backwater settlement build a protocol droid?
