I have to drop my kid off at her mom's every other Sunday, and those alternating weeks without her are so lonely. It gets harder every time. I wish I could flip a switch and just turn off until next Sunday.

Taking the progeny (moody preteen) and the lady friend (recovering from chemo and in the throes of an ulcerative colitis flareup) on a trip to Dallas after work tomorrow. I'm hoping for a great time, but I am telling ya'll now that there is a not 0% chance I might end up disappearing to Mexico.
