Retired in 2020 after 45 years in sports journalism. I hate the GOP and Tangerine Palpatine with the heat of 1,000 suns. Still not famous enough for a Wikipedia page.

You are correct, sir.
WHEN OUR GOVERNMENT: Refuses to swear in an elected Arizona representative….. what makes you think our elections won’t be disrupted or simply ignored.

This is the truest social commentary ever. Thiel wants access to everything, including footage of the girls’ bathroom, in order to “keep us safe”

ESPN announces Lowell Galindo and Aaron Murray are butchering the Houston-Arizona State telecast.
They were yakkin’ and missed 2 penalty announcements by the referee - one of which wiped out an ASU TD.
Galindo treats big plays as end of the world events.
Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz is a whiny, piss ant pipsqueak.
Dear @theathletic.com editors:
This is an embarrassing example of
1. Self promotion.
2. Social media abuse.
3. Speculation journalism.
I’m told that representatives for Texas coach Steve Sarkisian have let NFL decision makers know that he would be interested in potential head coaching openings, including the Titans’.

According to a Google search there are 1.3 million active duty service members.
So, $130 million equals... $100 per each service member.
Fucking meaningless.
Maybe do the math, @nytimes.com
We shouldn’t make it optional for the super-rich to fund the government If they feel like it now and then. There’s a mechanism called “taxes.”

To quote Bruce Willis from Die Hard: "Welcome to the party, pal."
@nytimes finally wakes up and smells the fascist-brewed coffee.
"The irreversible gravity of killing, coupled with the lack of a substantive legal justification, is bringing into sharper view a structural weakness of law as a check on the American presidency."

The Pentagon accepted an anonymous $130 million donation to help pay troops' salaries.

Fiscal policy experts are questioning the legality of the move.

"In general, you may not spend money that has been donated because the Constitution and the Anti-Deficiency Act say that you can't."
Pentagon to use $130 million anonymous donation to help pay troops
The amount is less than a day’s worth of salaries. Fiscal policy experts say the move also raises legal questions.

Trump and his mindless minions have zero concept of history or how time works.
SEC referee gets suspended for timeout snafu in Georgia-Auburn and the referee in Ole Miss-OU doesn't know what down it is. Announced it was third down after a penalty when it was first down.
If find myself using the words "stupid mother fucker(s)" a lot these days.
Ron DeSantis’s “Florida DOGE” team was sharing an individual login and claimed they were the victims of a woke attack when their account was locked.
Irony is dead. President Loose Shits and most of his minions steal songs and use them without permission, then ignore cease and desist orders.
The post from the Reagan Foundation is just complete gibberish.

The ad did not, in fact, misrepresent Reagan's views. But the idea that anyone needs the Reagan Foundation's goddamn permission to use the publicly broadcast official remarks of a former president and/or edit them for brevity is crazy
Why aren’t they asking him that he said the WH would not be touched for the ballroom?
Trump says his ballroom might cost more than $300 million but adds, "you know we're building the arc. Maybe we use it for the arc. We raised a lot of money for the ballroom, so maybe we'll put -- the arc is going to be incredible for Washington DC, so maybe we use it for the arc."
Not sure who has had a worse game on Cal-Va Tech: the ACC officiating crew or the ESPN announcer crew.
That $130 million might cover 2 weeks pay for our service men.
If members of the United States military are truly being paid their salaries by a private individual, the American people should know who that individual is. Now.
Like his daddy President Loose Shits wears 2-inch lifts. So I would bet Pee Wee German does the same. So, he’s really 5-foot-8.
It’s been over 2 weeks since AOC said Stephen Miller was weak and puny. Fox is still talking about it.

We would never spread a false narrative about a country so we can invade and secure their oil reserves. That's crazy talk
Greg Bovino is a lying mother f@cker. We’ve seen the videos.
“The use of force that I’ve seen has been exemplary — the least amount of force necessary to accomplish the mission,” Bovino told @cbsnews.com Friday. “If someone strays into a pepper ball, then that’s on them. Don’t protest and don’t trespass.”
FULL STORY: U.S. District Court Judge Sara Ellis ordered Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino, who has led a series of increasingly aggressive raids across Chicago and the suburbs, to appear in her courtroom in person at 10 a.m. Tuesday. @wttw.bsky.social
And if reporter/journalist had a smidgen of curiosity, they would have asked surveyor/architect if there was room for the ballroom without razing the East Wing.
The White House is only 55,000 sq ft. A ballroom that is 90,000 sq ft and is significantly larger than a football field. The ballroom at Versailles was only 8,000 sq ft. There is no way it’s "just a ballroom" - He is building himself a new palace.
And that $130M is a grain of sand on a beach. It will be spent in an hour.
