I thought I’d put a link up to this shop as they are known for being a good place to get retro stuff from.
Shame that some entitled “influencer” tried to do a hatchet job on them when we should be supporting shops like this on the high street www.facebook.com/share/17b7cD...

I first played Football Manager on the Spectrum on a copied tape back in 1985. Watching those basic footballers in action got me into Football sims. League Challenge from Atlantis is also an early Football Sim I played loads of.
It’s time for some RG on the sun bed. I forget how much I liked Elite Systems 8bit content. Batty was one our most played games thanks to my mum. It also reminded me I need to get Kevin Tom’s Football Manager for some nostalgia.
Youtubers and streamers who think they have a god given right to record and make content can get in the bin. Some don’t care if they get positive or negative content as long as there’s “engagement”. What’s in it for the shop or event if it’s a hit piece?
Looks a pretty decent rendition of Time Pilot, just running slightly slower.
Parachutes in space. Seems legit.
That sounds like me. The basics I can do, even a bit of soldering too but more complex diagnosis and I’m going to break something.
That Vic20 with PET style keys needs to be out full time. She’s a beauty.
People who make margins on misery complaining about increased taxes on margins of misery. Let’s have a complete ban on advertising gambling too.
A great version of one of my favourite coin ops ever.
Blooming software houses trying to get you demonetised and censored from YouTube 38 years prior. That’s some 4D Chess move.
That’s an eclectic set of recommendations.
To be fair, when the Megadrive appeared on the virtual console, or when Nintendo released a Megadrive controller for NSO or when Sega put Sonic on the Gameboy advance had similar hell freeze over vibes. Buying your competitor and releasing it yourself feels like a hold my beer moment though.
I watched The Dead Zone on the plane for the first time in many years, what a cracking watch, it’s still stands up as a cracking story, a great ensemble cast, with Christopher Walken nailing it. I find I’m too squeamish for David Cronenberg’s body horror but this was a great watch.

Just finally clocked the right hand picture. Bruce Lee and the sumo wrestler look great for an Arkanoid level. I’m sure a Paradroid or Nebulus screenshot might work too.
Gamepass and streaming is blinding MS from the obvious solution, an affordable Xbox handheld, made by themselves or licensed to someone else to make. A $1000/£800 premium pc that doesn’t actually play Xbox games natively never was the answer and will just cause confusion.
On one of my first jobs working for a local authority involved me leaving a school site to get a replacement terminator from home. I fixed the networking issue but got a bollocking for leaving site without telling anyone. It still smarts 25 years on.

New blog post! A look at the region converter hidden in some early NES games, an analysis of an NES epoxy blob cart, and an attempt to repair a broken Famicom cartridge. A bit disconnected but I hope you enjoy! nicole.express/2025/not-jus...
Cartridge Chaos: The Official Nintendo Region Converter and More!
This post is a combination of looks at several oddities among my pile of NES and Famicom cartridges. Why, for example, do I have a copy of Gyromite when I do...

Some photos over the last year as I began building the system for the LAN Party, testing to make sure it all worked and committing everything to the case as I was repairing cracks and gluing on magnets to support the liquid cooling system.
Thanks again to @thetechknight.bsky.social for the PSU!
