to be fair, the *other* guy was *also* making a million dollar bet about hyperinflation at the same time
this seems like a true "judges only do this when they're very distressed"
(er left out that the link is one of the things i did find and concluded Was Not This)
was the next step replication glitching to a stop (too familiar to me), or something bad happening b/c a box thought to be a secondary was really a primary, or...something else or rather not say more? tried and failed to find a post about this one
The Query Strikes Again
On Thursday, 12 Oct. 2022, the EMEA part of the Datastores team — the team responsible for Slack’s database clusters — was having an onsite day in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We’re sitting together fo...

this is their answer to that "you get too much money, what do you spend it on??" thing that was going around here recently
I was disappointed headlines gave him credit for apologizing -- his post did not really back off of what made everyone mad, arguably doubled down on it by saying "abundance of caution" as if federal invasion woulda been a conscientious careful thing

3) enterprise: supported, lotsa manageability/reliability features
it needs to be on such a short leash to do anything, sometimes just because it can't read people's minds. "give it a bug number and go brew a coffee" seems an *awful* long ways off

the decline of instructional design work genuinely sucks, because the job is basically “how do you execute big ideas that sound awesome”
As a fellow instructional designer, that absolutely makes sense for your professional background. You post like an instructional designer.

A therapist told me I was really good at taking big ideas and making them easy to understand. "It's a gift," she said. I pointed out that it's literally my job.
