I’m glad the game didn’t wind up close.

So clearly I don’t know my Mariners dogs, I guess

Turns out that is Dash's pal Chase, Dash having gone to his reward last year. I don't think they're actually affiliated, I think they're just Mariner fans

How is Dash affiliated, do we know?

They have Humpy a sash, and a chain, and a trophy!

Yeah not 100% sure but I don’t think that’s Tucker

Thats Tucker? He looks too golden retrievery, I thought Tucker was more labradory

I have not been formally introduced, but I think I’ve got it right?

I did have my phone ready for this:
Humpy, a salmon mascot, has one knee on the ground and is petting a dog, Tucker, a team dog for the Mariners, who is facing away from the camera. Tucker, the Mariners dog, bites the blue life preserver ring around Humpy’s waist.

Humpy is wearing a “winner” sash and gold chain in addition to his regular costume.

Humpy is running around the watch party like a madman and Tucker the Mariners Pup was chasing him. I didn’t have my phone ready for that.

I feel like people are always way too confident in their assessments on replay. I saw a lot of people questioning the Victor Robles Game 5 HBP, but I thought it was obvious.

Cal might’ve been safe on the play at the plate in the first, but I’m not sure I buy it, it wasn’t super clear, imo.

TURNED OUT TO BE AN ENORMOUS DEAL
tworsandtwols.bsky.social
If the M’s can get out of this allowing just one run, it might be a real big deal.

Separately notable, I think Washington’s libertarians have changed to a similar kind of fringe-right, pro-authoritarianism, anti-urbanism that you’re describing with Oregon. All politics is national now, I guess?
tworsandtwols.bsky.social
I’ve often felt like Washington libertarians were kind of chill, “live and let live” types who were more open to social change than most. Do you suppose Oregon libertarians are different maybe because of the specific racism of Oregon’s history?

As a fan who shoots shots, I feel a little bad for him. In terms of, say, the taste of the joke he was trying to make, not the best look, he kinda got what was coming for him.

Look, Josh Naylor may not be an all-star, but he’s pretty decent at what he does, and the way he plays is simultaneously fascinating and funny as hell.

White people who have spent decades thinking “Born in the USA” is patriotic and “Every Breath You Take” is a great wedding song are suddenly very concerned about not being able to understand lyrics to some songs at the Super Bowl halftime show.
