Hey so I'm not keeping a spreadsheet or anything & I recognize that we aren't all going to be able to boycott EVERY corporation, but my focus currently is specifically seeking out whether a place I give my money is scaling back or getting rid of DEI initiatives.

Rice bowl with coconut shrimp and green beans. Made a nice garlic-coconut oil, also cooked shallots with the green beans. Mine is topped with the appropriate amount of chili crunch (too much).

That's sad but adorable (hope that makes sense). When we moved Granny out of her house, her fridge was full of pickles and her freezer cube steak bc every time she went to the store, she bought those things, forgetting she already had plenty. 💚

One of my favorite memories involves watching a VERY drunk Mexican put down 4 tacos al pastor while regaling the crowd on the sidewalk with songs and tales of his epic night, complete with using every bit of hot sauce on the table. Fun fact: Lebanese immigrants brought al pastor to Mexico.

In fact there's a rumor that at any grocery store in any area code you can probably use that number if you don't have a "store card" to get discounts bc someone has probably registered it.

I've had to ask my own son his phone number no less than 5 times in the last 3 years while filling out forms. 😭

But I still remember my parents' old landlines, my best friend growing up, my Mema, my Granny, my parents and my sister's cell numbers. Only 3 of those are still useful lol.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

There are places where that's appropriate and it's not a grocery store. And the only two people I've seen with a dog in the grocery store were not using them as service dogs (my grocery store has a bar in it, I know them personally, I'm not making assumptions).

The regime fired everyone involved in the funding and administration of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).

They’re letting measles and other infectious and disabling diseases run rampant, and then removing disability support.

It’s eugenics and they aren’t even hiding it.

It's kinda funny that he changed his name when he did bc Role Model sounds like a rapper but now he's singing country (I use that term loosely) music and Tucker Pillsbury actually sounds like a kid trying to make it in Nashville.
