It's been a long while since I've been this burned out. Coupled with the immense sadness and anger I feel about these regressive, racist, fascist MAWA policies, it's a lot. For those feeling similar, here's a book I've been reading to hopefully find some light amongst the darkness...

Incredibly unfair to all the 2nd year students and clinical psychology students who have spent months preparing their applications - changes to this year’s NSF GRFP don’t allow Y2 or clinical psychology students to apply… www.nsf.gov/funding/oppo...
I was proud to witness my first-ever PhD's student dissertation defense yesterday. Gina killed it! Woohoo Dr. Belli!
If you download the datastructure you can see what variables are required vs recommended. Typically questionnaire items are only recommended so you're fine to only submit what you collect (specific items, subscales etc)
The worst ever. Variable names from hell - BecDepress1_22a. SERIOUSLY?? Oh and string variables. AND last time I failed QA they sent me what I swore was a text file. Every time I'm like FML.

I’m thrilled to share this preprint with a brilliant co-author team.

If you're unhappy with how your university administration is handling threats to academic freedom and science from the federal administration, the next time your university asks for you to donate money to them, and they will soon (trust me), tell them you'll be donating that money to Harvard instead
A bright spot in all this turmoil. Congratulations to Manny on publishing her master's thesis in the Journal of Affective Disorders: authors.elsevier.com/a/1ktvkbXYiy...

I am so sorry Cindy. 😞😔
Re-posting this in light of more grant cancellations.😞
Re-upping in light of more cancellations re vaccine hesitancy, at Columbia, etc.

***If you have any information at all you're willing to share, please add it to the Google Sheet below👇***

We're actively using this information to explore litigation options, but we need more of it to proceed.
We need to organize--let’s help each other.

NIH is cancelling grants, but it's not clear exactly what they're cancelling and why. Without this information, we can't respond.

I've started a Google Sheet to track grant cancellations.

Please add any canceled grants you know of and spread the word!
