I want to be mindful of people's privacy and safety with these, so in addition to drawing people mostly from behind, this time I think I'll arbitrarily change all the clothing colors to further anonymize them.

Whoever decided that the San Francisco No Kings protest should start at the same location as the bougie weekend farmers market is a political genius.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
This is why I did both Statue of Liberty and the frog, a lot of people got that American identity includes welcoming immigrants but for those that didn’t explaining the frog and how standing against ICE and showing Portland wasn’t a war zone got a man pepper sprayed and neighbors helped… inspires

Shutdown continues as healthcare costs will rise without action, and Trump talked to Putin making life harder for Zelensky

The government of the United States of America, currently, speaks in the voice of two morons who don’t know how to form a ‘your mom’ joke.
So the president of the United States plans to meet with Putin in Hungary, and when a reporter asked where that plan came from, this was the reply of the United States government www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...
I’m currently taking a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) academy and we just got the following email:

“CERT Students,

The FEMA page is not being managed right now due to the government shut down. “

So in case you’re wondering disaster preparedness isn’t essential to this administration

Probably worth noting that both Vance and Trump have been “joking” about murdering fishermen in these strikes.
The U.S. military has destroyed five boats it has alleged were ferrying drugs into the U.S., killing 27 people. No authority has publicly released the names of any of the dead. One family is believed to be the first to publicly say they believe a relative is among those who were killed.

For the first time, one of the 27 people killed in U.S. airstrikes on suspected drug vessels has been publicly identified.
