And sadly many authors are beginning to water down their ideas out of fear from backlash. 😭
We can’t do this, because it’s problematic. And that is also out of the picture, because of that… and in the end everything turns out rounded, mild and herbal tea like 🫠 losing not only tension but also

I can read stuff like that and find it mildly okayish, but I generally crave more STIMULATION. More drama, more thrill!!! It’s the difference between riding these swirling teacups in the amusement park vs… falling down that crazy ass tower (no idea how it’s called in English! XD). I need the tower.

ENOURMOUS - depends on the plot.
The fun part is

A) to see how other characters cope with these flawed individuals
B) see the consequences of their actions unfold
C) see the flawed character + their surroundings change

Dark romance is the beacon of hope for stories containing darker topics right now. I don’t read it myself, but I’m so happy it exists!
It exists and thrives and proves that many many MANY people like to have some… drama in their story?! XD

One of the things I appreciate about 'Dark Romance' is that it /is/ self aware. Like 'horror', 'Dark' IS in the name, so I find it wild the sheer amount of time people put into complaining about it being a bad influence on women when It's telling you RIGHT away it's not at all a relationship model 💀
