Hey look, Israel broke the cease-fire, twice, in two different ways, within 24 hours - again.
NEW: Israel informed the UN it will permit only 300 aid trucks into Gaza daily, not the 600 mandated by the ceasefire it just signed.

SPINE is a solo tabletop RPG that looks like a book. It is your anchor to the fictional world, a prop, and a work of art — a keepsake — that you co-create, all in one.

In SPINE, you quite literally embody a researcher who is reading and marking up the physical book in front of you.

Hello #PortfolioDay, I'm a writer and artist from Poland working on adventures for my #ttrpg setting ✨
I love drawing elves, queer people, and overly complicated fashion 🌈

Back my latest adventure on Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/161...
An illustration of an elf sat upon an elaborate throne held up by two statues of succubi in a throne room resembling a medieval cathedral. He has white skin and hair, with some parts of his skin being covered in golden scales and others being black with golden veins. He has three pairs of mismatched horns on his head. He wears black and white robes with golden jewelry. Beside the throne are two other characters: a red-haired elf with a scarred face and a tiefling in heavy armor wielding a zweihander sword. A full-body illustration of a floating lich. He wears a robe crafted from the hide of a blue dragon, a crown of horns, and golden jewelry. Lightning strikes in the background. An illustration of an elf perched atop a tree branch at night. Her eyes shine the same silver glow as the moon behind her. She has an additional pair of arms hidden behind her in the shadows. She wears South Asian-inspired clothing and jewelry. She carries a curved sword. Cropped illustration of a succubus demon. She has purple skin, black and white hair, and golden eyes with black sclerae. Her face is smeared with red blood.

The "cognitive decline and brain damage from repeat COVID infections" and "easy to use robot that makes slop and melts your critical thinking skills" is a hell of a combo in a post-fact media ecosystem

The idea of the IDF using royalty free assets (meant to help artists build out scenes for concept art etc) for genocide is so sickening.
We traced over 30 unique assets to Washington-based 3D creator Ian Hubert, who makes bespoke models created for his sci-fi project Dynamo Dream, available to his Patreon subscribers.

Scans of parking lots, antennas, and pipes were repurposed as Hamas and Iranian military sites

Made sure to choose a light reading to talk about

"Gesturing towards decolonial futures: preparing for the end of the world as we know it."

A striking thing about articles I’ve read claiming to “study the effects” of generative AI on student writing skills and consumption of information is that (1) they nearly always find the effects are negative and (2) most “conclusions” are still written assuming that we must use AI, for some reason.
I am deeply concerned about what affinity is going to do.
Serif has stopped purchases for #Affinity apps in preparation for a "big announcement" and are responding to user concerns about subscriptions or genai with meaningless doublespeak. Feels bad!!

Americans need to stop pretending like they're not living through a civil war right now. That mindset is getting people killed.

White PDXers, now is the time to reach out to and be ready to close ranks around your BIPOC neighbors. You are the whitest metro city in the US, and that is going to paint instant targets on the backs of anyone who isn’t.

Useful creativity tips, regardless of what you’re working on:
so Bluesky is not training your data to create their own LLM or image generation software, their moderation company is.
actually gonna stress this point really hard because a lot of people have been saying "well the moderation software deletes data after 14 days". Their affiliates don't, and are not required to. That is the only reason Hive would be sharing data with affiliates.
I also recognize that Hive ai's privacy policy states that customer data is deleted after 14 days by default. Which would be fine if they did not also state that they share data with their affiliates (per the Privacy Policy), which do not have the same privacy policy or ethics policy.
