in 20 years, the most extreme, reactionary, "return to tradition" masculinity influencer is going to adopt this uniform and you'll have to calmly explain that this was once considered non-traditional

Cherry Laurel on the march from gardens into woodlands.

Crazy that the government has not acted on the Citizen's Assembly's recommendation to ban it for sale (How many years ago was that?)

The alternative of Griselinia or Portugese Laurel are not good either.

Nothing wrong with Holly, Yew etc
Happy Sunday everyone!

Who is out and about enjoying the countryside?

Matt Stout's distribution map of crannogs, showing their main distribution in the north midlands, the west and Ulster. Today they mostly appear as tree-clad islets, away from grazing animals. In the past, they were the island residences of kings, lords, and ordinary folk, including the lower classes

It's funny how social media's golden rule is basically the distillation of all the world's major salvation religions.
Chum, you catastrophically misread a post, got your feelings hurt, and are now flouncing all over the place, all for nothing. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Excellent thread. No more damaging stereotype than the “prick-genius”. Smartest people I know are nearly always the nicest, too.
Not by coincidence this latter group are kinder and more patient than the former too. They lack, I suspect, the insecurity that lends itself to cruelty

Barrister videoed in Buswells Hotel and complaining about the establishment and urging people to spoil their vote.

“Establishment” is an odd choice of words.
