Unnecessary shut down? You are the ones trying to lose 20Million people their health plans. Democrats are standing up for those 20Million so that they can keep their insurance. They are trying to protect both repubs and dems that could/would lose their insurance, like most farmers for example

There is a verifiable difference between blue and red state education. Students in blue states scored significantly higher on outcome measures of math and reading in grades four and eight than did students in red states.
