It's not edgy to say edgy.

Ah, yes, the double standard.

Kids do edgy things like saying "I love Hitler." Just ignore it.

Oh, also, my admin is getting people fired and pulling their visas for saying mean things about Charlie Kirk.

Someone should ask Vance why its only the shitheads who support him who get to be "edgy"

Underlining the notion of European-ness, not merely nationalism, would love to see countries trading poets on their currency.
I want more of this sort of thing, but our money is somewhat more static www.changechecker.org/2024/09/20/c...

If only to ask, "How many Ellingtons do I owe you?"

I'm a big advocate for the "rotate different Great Figures from your country on the money" style that I got used to in the UK.

You could even keep the Classic Guys on one side of the money - I just want to pay for stuff with a Duke Ellington $20.

Nixon: "Never forget, the press is the enemy. The establishment is the enemy. The professors are the enemy. Professors are the enemy. Write that on a blackboard 100 times and never forget it."

The thing about this is we all have embarrassing moments of vanity, wounded or otherwise. It's that he thinks it's okay to publish his embarrassing thoughts. That's the crazy part.

I'm sorry, is the Trump Administration talking to a tech platform?

Is it...requesting content moderation?
Today following outreach from @thejusticedept, Facebook removed a large group page that was being used to dox and target @ICEgov agents in Chicago.
The wave of violence against ICE has been driven by online apps and social media campaigns designed to put ICE officers at risk just for doing their jobs. The Department of Justice will continue engaging tech companies to eliminate platforms where radicals can incite imminent violence against federal law enforcement.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Genuinely heartwarming to read all the great reviews by people who value real life: "this place has been here forever and they know everything about vacuums" wait til the kids discover physical retail they're gonna flip
tendersociety.bsky.social
Our over-a-decade-old vacuum needs a part that I could have ordered on Amazon, but fuck those guys. Found it on a physical vacuum store's website--kicker, they're located in Chicago. It's worth it to find brick-and-mortar stores and support them for a few bucks more.

We have armed secret police kidnapping people off the street based on the color of their skin.

When we win: we will haul them before a Senate committee. The masks will come off. There will be consequences.

seems like a non-insignificant percentage of rage against the machine's fanbase are young republican men driving SUVs bopping their head to anti-oil, pro-immigrant songs thinking the lyrics are about how they wish their suburban parents would get off their back
Tom Morello tweets: "Fascinating that all those “don’t tread on me” posers and their AR-15’s are nowhere to be seen and government tyranny is instead being opposed by a guy in an inflatable frog suit."

Someone named Manny replies: "@grok
why do some people say Tom Morello and band mates are RAGE FOR THE MACHINE and not against ?"
