Just found out about a bootleg NES game called Titenic where you lead Jack & Rose through the ship beating up hundreds maids and servants. As you can see in the third screenshot, they went all in.

12324. Party of Five “The Ides of March” - Spoilers for a 30 year ep: RIP Jill, I’m pretty much the only way a plot like that could’ve ended. Of course since they thought this was a series finale they ended it on a happy note. (B)

Just because one thing is worse doesn’t make a bad thing good. That’s thinking like a child.

1 in 25 is 1 in 25 to many.

Pit bulls are disproportionately responsible for the deaths of many young children--more than other known hazards like button batteries--and many of these attacks are completely random and unprovoked.

I stopped drinking on one for 90 days, the longest stretch since I had my first drink at 29. They work.

“Studies based on the medical records of millions of people taking GLP-1s," such as Ozempic, "for obesity or diabetes have revealed strong signals of their potential as addiction treatment,” Maia Szalavitz writes.

12323. Family Man "A Night Out" - I feel bad for this one, it feels like it came from a good place, like the interactions between parents & kids feel wholesome & deserved but... it's boring. And the theme song Holy crap it's so bad, it feels like a parody but isn't. (C)

12322. My Guys "Tangled Web" - I normally am not really into sitcoms w/big bombastic New York Italian families, and, well, neither did the general public, but I really like this. Michael Rispoli, Mike Damus & Francis Capra were all great here. (A-)

12321. My Guys "Pilot" - Okay, this was pretty darn good. Why CBS kept trying family comedies well into the 90's I'll never know though, as all of them, including this 2 episode gem, failed. (A-)

12320. Fish "Sweet Sixteen" - Jilly wants to go on the pill, a fairly progressive plot for the time. There's a hilarious segment at her birthday party where it turns out all her male friends are 6'4 giants freaking out Fish. A really good episode. (A-)

And that's why it doesn't work as a metaphor for actual minorities but an interesting sci-fi morality play.

Not saying it’s an easy moral choice but I’d think if say, Magneto or Jean Grey existed in real life, we’d want to know where they were.

Every time I see a post or video like this, no matter where in the world the stereotype they’re referring to is, it’s almost always from a traditionally attractive white woman. 🤔

It feels wrong to say, but if you believe in gun control in real life, registering people much more dangerous makes sense, sadly.

Keep in mind it was made by the same network that just stopped airing this 3 years prior.

12319. Danny "Pilot" - A Daniel Stern single cam from 2003. Stern is charming but like so many failed sitcoms there's way too many characters, a bad work/home split and, unique to 00's single cams, way way way too much loud music. Typical. (C)
