i've no idea what the margins are on wood chips or logs, so no idea if the current users of north bend's port facilities (wood chips and log decks) will prosper.

jonah wanted to see the elk, so we went to where they usually are, but they weren't. so we went on to the usual place to dampen the boogie board, catch a few rays, and look at the pinepeds (sea lions and seals) cluttering up some rocks and sand.

- bombed Gaza City
- bombed Khan Younis
- shot and killed five Palestinians in Gaza City
- refused to open the Rafah border crossing
- announced they would once more block aid

This is what a "ceasefire" with Israel looks like. This is what it has always looked like.

hamas is the political umbrella for several movements, and, unlike ice, hamas won the only election held in gaza, in an election generally considered fair and legitimate.

its now cob, the day after. jonah was up at 5am to nick the laptop. we'd another pleasant pre-dawn morning -- the original mr. rogers neighborhood is on opb pre-dawn, that was nice. he's in bed and at 9pm i'm ... dragging like a ... tired fish on a long line.

tomorrow we go tide pooling again.

jonah and i were on the road today -- just short of top of the tide at the suislaw north jetty where we watched a teen & dad bring in the teen's first salmon, caught from the jetty. nice fish.

when we got to the fish museum jonah was greeted by name, and waved at on the way out. nice pro-sped touch
