I was heading to a Cinematheque showing on Saturday evening and the Kantara show was letting out at the same time. Very popular movie with the diaspora, a lot of fans were out to see it on the big screen. I'm tempted because they namechecked RRR in advertising.

I live on a side street that got a contraflow bike lane a few years ago and I've noticed kids learning to ride with parents, wobbling along first and then getting their confidence over the summer. Really confirms that if we build bike lanes, they will come.

October 12: All along the coast of Lake Ontario, people have reported a strange odor. Occasionally reports of the smell are coupled with sightings of weird mushroom like creatures spewing out a poisonous fog. The fog is deadly in high concentrations fortunately the smell keeps most people away.

That's Colin Geddes btw, who used to be the Midnight Madness programmer at tiff and then did the Kung Fu Fridays series which got me hooked way back when. Super nice of him to share his knowledge and amazing collection of paraphernalia.

Really looking forward to the tiff screening with Paul Meyers discussing this book and screening one of John's best films, planes trains and automobiles
