3. Average annual expenditure was €320 for people with ≥5 chronic conditions, €187 for 2 conditions and €44 for 0 conditions. Compounded by likelihood that those with highest number of conditions are generally poorer
2. Even in a system with universal access and excellent primary care - people with multiple conditions or #Multimorbidity experience much higher out of pocket expenses for their healthcare

Incredible role models Prof Margaret Cupples and Prof Louise DuBras present copies of a very relevant book to the next generation
Thread for those new to BlueSky. First of all, welcome. It feels like a safer space, doesn’t it? But also perhaps a bit disorienting initially? Here’s some tips for getting your bearings.
To all my colleagues on @academicgpirl.bsky.social and joining @bsky.app The pinned thread from @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social is a great starter

General Practice is the silver bullet that can improve health outcomes if resourced adequately in deprived areas
GP practices in deprived areas should be prioritised for resource, in order to allow them to provide effective care to some of the most unwell and vulnerable patients in society.
