Punisher would 100% work in Gotham and Bludhaven. Swamp Thing and Man-Thing would be roommates.
🌹we're thinking again about a DC/Marvel shared universe and all the weird tricky impossibilities of such a thing, like would any Marvel heroes work out of Gotham? would there be room? what about era specific interactions like Mr. Fix-It? do you keep Swamp Thing AND Man Thing?
🟠I think comparatively DC has a lot more "character islands" people who don't REALLY connect with anyone or anything else like Vibe or Jemm son of saturn vs. Marvel whose world is a bit smaller and more contracted

I still use these today. Very satisfying
Wish I could. Travel on the TCH in Northern Ontario in winter is… well, dangerous doesn’t quite cover it. Have you ever been to Sault Ste. Marie?

Anyone know of fast Modulo algorithms optimised for 6502 CPUs, by any chance?

I just got a sick idea, but I need to calculate them as fast as possible, in order to even try anything.

Ideally, I would need to keep the CPU cycles usage as low as humanly possible, since this has to be done in VBlank.
I wish I had the money and clout to do a VCF North here in Ontario.

Great news everyone!

Mark your calendars because for the first time since 2019, VCF Pacific Northwest is happening.

It's be held just south of Seattle on May 2 and 3, 2026.

It’s a good show. Not life changing or anything, but lovingly made and a good riff on D&D/Fantasy tropes.
Bully bullying is the only way through this.

In the 90s DOS demoscene, we used to joke about using gravis ultrasound RAM to store graphics assets, and VGA RAM to store sound samples. Both were technically possible, but I don't believe anyone ever did it.

I can’t believe anyone cares about kids not learning cursive. Fuck cursive. It’s worse that they’re not learning the command line.

Two quick highlights from the show: a completely open source CRT (github.com/tdaede/td-crt), and @yyzkevin's RP2040-powered PCMCIA card (www.yyzkevin.ca/pico-pcmcia/)

I love it when stuff like this happens!

I posted a video about a Franklin Ace 10 floppy drive which was owned by a middle school in the small town of Richland, Washington, and someone who likely used the drive happens to be one of my viewers.

Whole site is broken. Nothing plays.
Looks like they vibe coded too close to the sun over at YouTube.

And they have the nerve to call us snowflakes.

I would like to announce that the TSOP48 -> SOP36 #SNES #MASKROM adapters for #SuperFX / #CX4 are now live and for sale on my Etsy storefront! www.etsy.com/listing/4375...
Do I think they can change? Fuck, I don’t know. I’m no psychiatrist. But I don’t think it matters if they do. There’s no prize for most improved player. They betrayed humanity, and cannot be trusted.
I’m not sure, but I think maybe he’s saying that only those who aspire to wealth would support Democratic candidates? Which is odd, since aspiring to wealth is fairly universal, across party lines. We all want prosperity, it’s just a question of whether it’s at the expense of the downtrodden.

I look at #Commodore64 "Super Mario Bros 64" by ZeroPaige in 2019. How the screen scroll uses VSP, the Mario sprite split render, some dynamic sprites, and find some original (mostly) NES code.
