This Supreme Court case in Louisiana is about one thing, and one thing only: reinstituting Jim Crow by way of ensuring that Black Americans are taxed without receiving representation in Congress.

Everything else is noise and bluster.

IU previously directed the Indiana Daily Student to stop printing news coverage in our newspaper. Upon pushback, the university fully cut print, including our special editions. The IDS was not involved in the decision.

Media School Dean David Tolchinsky sent the order to IDS leadership in an email responding to its appeal that the school not censor the newspaper. And the dean attributed the decision to “the campus.” He has not yet responded to a message for clarification.

That's the thing. Trump promises to dismantle "Democrat" programs. We (should) all remember that Social Security and Medicare were begun by a Democrat. If Trump thinks he can tank "Democrat" programs and not hurt Republicans, he's dumber than we thought.

The trial of Sydney Reid, who was initially charged w/felony assault for videotaping ICE, then charged w/misdemeanor, and whose case has been beset by all sorts of discovery problems since, has finished.

Judge Sooknanan threw out allegation involving one of two "victims" (on same assault charge).

It's a no-brainer that her appointment is invalid. So the question becomes, is the indictment (on she was the only lawyer signatory) invalid as a result—and, if so, is it too late for the Trump DOJ to remedy that problem, given that the statute of limitations ran on Sept. 30.
