LibDem because I believe in equal opportunity for all regardless of just about everything. Like Rugby, Food, Cycling, my kids and grandchildren. I also trust science because science is always open to change if facts prove otherwise. Rejoin EU. PR.

The LibDems are good at canvassing, none better, but have not taken well to social media that lends itself to short sound bites. I have fellow councillors who are ex- university chancellors and atomic physicists. They expect people to reason as they do.
A 3 word shout is now the persuader.
Especially as he landed on a Caribbean island thinking he was in Asia.
I remember Kim Philby, Burgess, Maclean and Blunt who caused havoc within our security services allowed to do so as they were regarded as “one of us.” Is this happening again?
There's been a clear reluctance to investigate Russian influence in the UK for a long time now
If this latest petition is rejected we know where we stand and that the establishment is hiding something. It will not stop me and I will launch the petition on another platform and encourage actions in harmony with others who are anti-farage and Reform.
No Surrender!
It is. We know that already. I already tried to get a petition demanding him be investigated last year or so and it was rejected.
If they do reject it we know that the establishment is truly corrupt.
They'll reject this because it names a piece of shit traitor. But it's something which needs to be asked about and pushed and investigated @zackpolanski.bsky.social @sarahowen.org.uk @nayafia.bsky.social @labourlewis.bsky.social @eddavey.libdems.org.uk
If you go to anti-farage.co.uk you can sign a petition that will force a debate in parliament on Farage’s Russian connections

You need hearing aids then.
I certainly foresaw the mess Brexit would cause and a lot more. I would hope that those who want to lead the country would have a lot more foresight, they certainly tell us they do.
Dully predictable most of such politician's critics exhibit little more foresight than those they criticise...
Amazing how many politicians use that line after claiming they have foresight.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing

But largely useless
Gordon Brown was warned by LibDem Vince Cabel and about Nothern Rock but refused all advice.
Starmer won’t even stand up to the Brexiteers in his own party.

As alleged links between government advisers and Chinese espionage emerge, @matthew-wright.bsky.social asks Professor Anthony Glees why Starmer won’t stand up to Beijing.

I, perhaps naively, think some politicians like Starmer would have better foresight, perhaps he needs to take his blinkers off.
We can learn from it. It’s history.
The time was right when Labour was writing its manifesto for the last General Election.
Rejoining the SM means accepting FoM

With Reform on 32% of those expressing an opinion in the latest polls the time is not right - so no politician with ambition to form part of a UK govt will do so

That is nowt to do with "supporting a hard Brexit" and all to do with seeing political reality

🔴 If Gill took Kremlin cash to say it...why was Farage saying the same things? 🐻🇷🇺🪆

This looks Bad! This looks identical!

#Brexit #Putin
The referendum was a fraud and accepting it was wrong. Starmer caved into the Unite union and the bigots in Labour’s “Red walls“ who now back Reform. He put party before people and now we all pay the price.
I am a LibDem and I get frustrated by just that. LibDems are not loud by nature but they need to get that way because the meek will not inherit the Earth but get trampled into the mud. I am trying by promoting this. anti-farage.co.uk

Good to blame Farage for the dull-arsed, ruinous, tedious failure of Brexit.
Not that good to keep punishing us for that failure, rather than looking to swiftly boost our prosperity by asking to rejoin the Single Market and Customs Union.
But yes. It’s a start.

Starmer and Reeves are expected to argue that if it hadn't been for Brexit this type of downgrade would not have been needed - and cite official figures suggesting that if Britain had not left the European Union the economy would be about £120 billion greater by 2035 than current forecasts suggest.
The message is simple: Farage is ultimately to blame, as the man who delivered Brexit with "easy sloganeering" then walked away from the aftermath rather than putting in the hard yards.
Or to put it another way: Farage, not us, is responsible for putting up your taxes.
The theme will tie to the main thrust of Starmer's argument at conference, that the Reform leader is selling easy solutions that are just a fantasy.
I am a LibDem and admit we do have some nimby cranks but they are now out numbered by those who don’t want to live in Ambridge anymore.
