First known tree hug. Know zero about film but have collected for ~38 yrs. Pre-Code love. Dead--but I'm not dead yet--language familiarity. Demi-horticulturalist. Car-free commuting since 1977. Will write Alt Text for food.

Eerie, gothic, ghostiness with John Hurt & Gemma Jones, in Whistle And I'll Come For You '10. On tubi in the US. Windy sound-scapes, spooky tunes, gorgeous seaside settings aside, to my delight, every scene is dominated by the color green🟢. That's ~an hour of utter greenness @delphicdeb.bsky.social

Lovely color scheme: sepia and umber, teal and aqua with hints of Prussian blue.

I wish packing peanuts were made out of sphagnum moss.

Native Americans also lacked equines, cattle and the wheel to help move materials overland.

Relieved Politico published the entertaining pics to soften the blow of the mortifying (though hardly surprising) text.

Consumer Lab would no doubt vouch for Consumer Reports' findings. Do cadmium, arsenic and mercury next.

The whole point of Columbus Day was never about Italian heritage. It was to celebrate when the first white men officially charted a new world untroubled by their political & religious bullshit at home. It was literally to say, “Hurrah! People like us finally arrived to invent NEW European bullshit.”

Alt: a native person on a beach watches balefully as Spanish boats arrive in the distance .

If it's the Broderick Crawford film I'm thinking, oops. Kansas City Confidential '52 is also on tubi, so you can get your practice in at zipping your mug.

Also still have 15-20 50s sports-coats, in glorious subtle plaids, all seasons. In the 70s-80s, you could buy 'em for 50cents. Wear 'em now and everybody is like OOMMGG!! Cherish forever.

I tended toward skinny 50s ties, inherited from my dad. Still got the collection.
