The British government’s recognition of the State of Palestine is a huge victory after decades of campaigns.

Ultimately, this decision means nothing unless they recognise the ongoing genocide in Gaza, end arms sales to Israel, and comply with all ICC/ICJ investigations.

UK officially recognises Palestine as a state

Sir Keir Starmer said the UK - alongside Australia and Canada - was taking the step "in the face of growing horror" in the Middle East.
