It's at this moment in history that I'm reminded of how 8 years ago the right flew into an absolute panic because they got trolled on social media about "antifa supersoldiers."

Not the postmarked date. The actual due date. It's ridiculous they don't accept the postmark date. It got here today and they want it FRIDAY. For paperwork filed over a month ago.

The whole system is broken. There's really no reason to believe the mail isn't being deliberately slowed up so that vulnerable people's healthcare paperwork arrives two days before the mail-in due date. ARRIVES. A carrier pigeon on cocaine maybe could get it there in time.

Weight confirmed at the doc, really what I've been for more than half of my life. Still too much. Shouldn't sweat it but have to sweat it back off. It was what I piled on top that nearly killed me, so I have to turn this ship now.

Heart still in good shape. Clean bill. That's good.

It's gonna be back to the zucchini, Chayote squash and sausage again for dinner for a while. I think I can lose half of it by January. It came off that quickly the first time.

The worst of it is I went completely off diet and put a lot of pounds back on. Not as many but enough to see and feel how my entire shape had changed and to be constantly aware of it, like the gut giving me back pain. It hasn't made me happy, but I can fix it.

Last six months have been rough slowly coming to the conclusion I was on the wrong medication the whole time. It did a number on me. It's reversible, but it'll still probably be end of the year before the half-life fully peters out and I see clear results. Still, it's getting better.

My defense of those shows for what I see in them doesn't mean I'm about to watch a whole channel use the absolute worst lines with or without context from the script for their bumper ads and not say something. Especially not now.

But there are still those particular episodes. Those particular lines that can poke glass under the gumline and remind you that is not supposed to be our time anymore nor ever should it have been then. But it was.

Look. I watch western shows. I like western shows. I used to avoid them but I saw what progressive writers were trying to do with them eventually. Best Star Trek writers did a lot of westerns, and Roddenberry called it Wagon Train in Space.

The folks at the new MeTV sister station WEST... really didn't think that Big Valley bumper through very well, did they? Preaching about how many gallons of blood the white man put into his land? How many people in the office did that have to go through before it was approved?

Oh, hey. Just leaving the house is the perfect time to realize you're going to a doc appt where you have to take your shirt off, and you'll have to explain that some of your medication dulled your pain threshold so much you didn't realize your cats' biscuit recipe called for a pint of blood.

It just gets worse the more I think of it. An Outer Limits episode from 1995 but dialogue from this moment in time. He's very plain about AI being this milky white teat we're all supposed to be able to suck from, a villain saying he's playing hero by turning us into the people in WALL-E. #Cinemon
